The Conext MPPT 80-600 is the first PV battery charge controller to use DC input voltages up to 600V. This breakthrough charge controller significantly decreases the current needed in the array to reduce wiring gauges and costs, increase string sizing, and gives the ability to easily place the array farther from the battery bank. A PV array combiner box isn’t required for many installations. It can be used with PV arrays with voltages ranging from 195 to 550 VDC and can support an output of up to 80 amps into the battery for battery voltages of 24 or 48 VDC (nominal). The PV open circuit voltage must not exceed 600 VDC.
This charge controller is also great for DC-coupled retrofits of existing grid-tied solar arrays.
The Conext MPPT 80-600 solar charge controller offers an industry-first set of integration features and top performance that allows for large PV array systems to be easily installed and connected to the battery bank at the lowest overall cost. Installing one MPPT 80 600 is faster than installing multiple smaller charge controllers and lowers overall costs further by utilizing fewer PV strings, smaller wiring and conduit, and by eliminating the need for PV combiner boxes and DC circuit breakers.
The Schneider XW80-600 should not be used above 2,000 meters in elevation (6562 feet) due to an increased risk of arcing at higher elevation.
